Summary:
Compliance Officer Level I will monitor casino slot activity, transactions and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Tribal Gaming Laws and regulations as well as compliance with required internal control.
Investigates, reports deficiencies or violations, and conducts follow-ups to ensure implementation of appropriate corrective action.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Maintains control over access to sensitive areas of gaming devices.
Conducts testing of gaming devices and computer control chips for verification of validity and authorized programming.
Monitors shipping, receiving, installation, relocation, removal, storage, etc.
of gaming devices for security and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Ensures accurate records are maintained on the same.
Inspects all gaming equipment and supplies for integrity and compliance.
Randomly audits gaming devices for compliance with regulations and internal controls.
Writes reports and conducts necessary follow-up investigations on reported or observed violations of deficiencies, involving gaming devices and control chips.
Conducts follow-up action monitoring for implementation of appropriate corrective action.
Maintains agency machine hard and electronic files and all other required slot documentation.
Works closely with agency compliance personnel, auditors, agents; as well as appropriate casino personnel in fulfilling responsibilities.
All other duties as assigned by the Agent Manager or assigned Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
Knowledge of Federal, State, Tribal and other applicable gaming laws/or regulations.
Ability to interact with a diverse group of people in a professional manner.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general computerized accounting reports, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a variety of technical and legal data.
Be competent in computer skills, must have a working knowledge of gaming device equipment and technical specifications.
Must have a working knowledge of internal controls and policies and procedures of Indian Gaming.
QUALIFCATIONS:
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must have two years' experience working with Gaming devices and related software.
Must be able to obtain and maintain State and Tribal licensing certifications.
Any combination of experience and education that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered filing he position.
